Swim Faster is for experienced front crawl swimmers wanting to increase their stroke rate. It is a high intensity 27 minute programme with coaching and music with a beat to match and drive your stroke.
The session is designed and coached by Ray Gibbs from Swim Canary Wharf, who was shortlisted for the 220 Coach of the Year Award in 2011.
It’s a pyramid interval session that starts with a four minute warm up, then 4 minutes at 60 strokes per minute, 3 minutes at 65 strokes per minute, then 2 minutes at 70 strokes per minute, and finally 1 minute a 75 strokes per minute before repeating that pattern in reverse.
